FAQ's (Frequently Asked Questions)

How far in advance should I make my reservation for Services?

Always the sooner the better to guarantee your date. Services can book anywhere between 4-12 weeks in advance from September to May and 4 weeks to as much as 12 months in advance for summer events.  The best advice we can offer is to call and reserve early. We do accept last minute calls and will help you if we can.

How much is the deposit?

The deposit or "booking fee" is 50% of the total payable by Visa, Mastercard, personal check or money order. 

What forms of final payment do you accept?

Balances are collected on the day of the event by certifiable funds: Cash, money orders, or bank certified checks.  We do not accept personal checks or credit cards on the day of the event except in the case of our corporate clients.  If you would like to pay your final balance by Visa or Mastercard, you must do so at least two (2) full business days prior to your event date.

Can Lulu perform at our home? How much space is needed?

Yes, of course! As for space, make sure that the location for the performance is free and clear of any hazards and that children will be able to sit at least 4 feet away from Lulu's location.  Lulu requires a minimum of a 6' x 6' area for her setup.

What do you need from me?

Lulu needs round-trip tickets to Hawaii - no, make that one way, a burger and fries.  Actually, we need the following:

For face painting, a table (card size or larger) and two chairs as well as access to fresh water.

For anything involving music (including magic show, sing-a-longs, DJ Entertainment), access to an electrical source.

For parachute play, sufficient space for a 6ft, 10ft or 20ft parachute.

For the bunny, fresh veggies would be nice.   Lulu likes them too.

For events involving significant stairway access, muscles to carry the heavier equipment.  

For any outdoor event during the summer, shade by tree or by tent. This is very important! Summer is hot and heat stroke is dangerous to the entertainer as well as the children.

For ponies, a level area.

For concession equipment, a banquet sized sturdy table.

For caricaturists, two chairs.

For balloonists, table and chair.

For bounce houses, level grassy surface a must!

Are you insured?

Absolutely. Lulu the Clown, LLC dba Lulu Laughalot Entertainment is a fully insured entertainment company.

My child loves animals. Does Lulu allow the children to pet the bunny?

Absolutely! The bunny is gentle and friendly but will frighten easily if pulled, poked, or prodded. Please encourage younger children to pet by being "gentle."

Is face painting safe?

We only use products that are FDA approved for face painting. Our products are also kept clean and sanitized throughout the application process.

What is the best age for a clown?

Lulu's program is appropriate for children of all ages. However, older children are more likely to enjoy face painting, balloon twisting, and organized games.

When are you available?

We offer our services 7 days a week, including some holidays. Lulu is not available on the following dates: Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, Easter Sunday, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Lulu's Birthday of July 28, June 17, March 21,

Can Lulu perform at my child's school?

She sure can! But please check with the administration of your child's school prior to making your reservation.
